We take very seriously our Lord’s command to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15). For this reason, we have developed an evangelistic outreach ministry that centers around both “going” and “preaching”.
Each week, our pastor preaches in the open air at a local bus stop along with team of members from the church, who distribute tracts, share the gospel, and invite people to a weekly Bible study just down the street. He also leads chapel services twice per week at a local rescue mission, preaching the gospel and seeking to build a bridge to local church discipleship. In addition, members of our church join with other likeminded believers (one of whom is pictured above) to preach the gospel at University of Michigan football games.
Roughly 3-4 times per year, we host an evangelistic worship service on the Lord’s Day morning. This is generally followed by a special brunch for interacting with visitors. Members are encouraged to invite those within their God-given sphere of influence to come and hear the gospel message. The Lord has richly blessed us with many visitors through this ministry.
